Bermuda is wonderful. I like it a lot. And not for the beaches but all the other stuff it offers. And of all the places in Bermuda you can visit St. George is my favorite. It is a town that has a real Bermuda feel to it. There is plenty to do and plenty to see.

In this next picture I just got off the ferry and I am heading toward the center of town . You can see a little bit of it in the distance. The Church in Saint George . This is Saint Peter's Church and it is the oldest surviving Anglican church in continuous use outside the British Isles. The oldest parts of this church date back to 1620 and it has been greatly expanded and improved upon since then. The time I visited the church was closed to the public! They were doing a remodeling by replacing rugs inside. You can see the front door is open but there is a rope across the opening. So, I could get a bit of a peek inside. Inside this church they have a bible that was printed in 1630. The pulpit dates back to 1660 and the baptismal font is stone and dates back to 1450! Here is another view of the inside. I took this picture through an open side door.
There is a little cemetary on the side and back of the church. I had two major goals in Saint George. The first was this church and the second was something called "The Unfinished Church". Construction began on this church in 1894 and it was left unfinished for several reasons including the fact that the roof was destroyed by a storm and the fund were re-routed to build a carthedral in Hamilton Bermuda. They also have a beautiful park right near the unfinised church.
