This is a tutorial showing you step by step how to make the Skyrim Steel sword out of foam board. Very easy project that looks great. And I give you the template (right here)

In this tutorial I show you how to make the sword out of foamboard. And I also show you a couple of really handy techniques including how to paint it so it looks like steel and how to cut it so you get that fancy scroll work look.

Tools and Materials

• 3 sheets of foamboard (20x30 inches)
• Glue or hot glue gun
• sharp knife like an xacto knife
• Black, silver, brown and red paint
• The template (right here)

Let's Get Started

Print up the template and cut out parts 1,2,3 and 4. These make up the blade.

Tape those four pieces together like this:

Place that template diagonally on foamboard and trace it. Do this three times. You need three sword lengths.

For two of those sword lengths you also want the fuller (blood groove). You do this by pressing down firmly on the template, tracing the fuller. This causes an indent in the foamboard.

This way, you remove the template and you can see the indent in the foam board. And you can draw it out.

Now cut those three sword lengths out. And on the two with the fullers cut those fullers out also.

Let's continue and build it.
