In this part of the tutorial we finish the sword by painting it and I show you how to get it nice and shiny.

Add some detail lines to the handle, guard and saddle. You do this with a blunted pencil. Press firmly so it leaves an indent in the foam. The pencil line itself doesn't matter. It's the indenting that we want. The pencil line will not show up after painting but the indentation will.
It's easy to paint. The handle is simply black. And the blade is two tone. First paint the sharpened edges silver. Those silver edges are about 1/2 inch wide. You can first draw out the lines with a pencil and then paint.
Or you can mask it off with electrical tape and then paint the silver part. This will give you a sharper line. Once the silver paint dries you can remove the tape and paint the center section of the blade. Make that section a different shade of silver. I did this by adding a little bit of black to the silver paint. Then add the circuitry to the center section. This should be gold in color. You can use gold pencil, gold marker, or even gold foil tape.
Here is how my circuitry ended up
Now you can finish it off by sealing it with mod podge. This will give it a great shine. But there are a lot of types of mod podge. The shiniest is the spray Super Hi Shine.
If you prefer you can use the brush on mod podge. Get the Gloss lustre.
Let it dry and that's it! Your Alita Sword is done!! This picture shows my completed sword. The handle looks wet but it isn't! That's how shiny the spray hi-gloss is!!
