In this part of the tutorial we finish the kirkhammer by doing the dry brushing and the detail painting. Part 1 of this tutorial is here
|
To dry brush you dip your brush in the paint. Then you dab most of it off of a scrap piece of paper or cloth. You are drying the brush.
Then you lightly brush over the surface. Do it in fast strokes. For the most part nothing will happen. But you will get small amounts of paint and they slowly appear and grow. This takes some time to do but keep at it. You will quickly get a feel for it.
And do the same thing for both the handle of the hammer and the sword itself. Everything gets a silver dry brushing. Except for the blade of the sword. You can paint that directly silver so it looks like sharpened steel.
It looks great!
Make Xena's Chakrams This is an easy foam board project that comes out great. I give you three different templates so you can make different styles. Make Xena's Chakrams
