In this part of the tutorial we continue making the sword. Part 1 (the beginning) of this tutorial is here

Next cut out this part of the template, trace it onto foam board and cut it out. Take note of the dashed lines and trace them onto the foam board too.
For the area between those two dashed lines - Cut the top layer of paper. Remove that layer and the foam. Don't cut the bottom layer of paper.
Apply glue to it, fold it over and apply it to the sword like this at the guard.
Let's repeat this process with the ornamental work. There are three pieces. Cut them out of the template, trace them onto foam board and cut them out. Do this twice for each piece. We end up with two of each ornament.
They are a little too thick as ornaments so cut them in half right through the foam so they are thinner.
And glue them to the sword like this. Then flip the sword over and do the same on the other side.
