The lambent light is a fun and interesting sword project and it has that nice basket style guard for your hand which is a bit different. I show how to get that circular curve with foam board.

Materials and Tools:

• Two sheets of foamboard (Elmer's Foam Board)
• xacto or sharp hobby knife
• Paint: Teal and Silver (Instead of Teal you can mix Green, silver, blue and white)
• The Template
• Glue or Hot Glue Gun
• A little bit of sand paper (optional but good to have)

Here is the circular guard that I show you how to make in this tutorial. This is a new technique for us.

Let's Build It

Print up the template and cut out pieces 1,2,3 and 4. These make up the main part of the sword (blade and handle)

Tape the four pieces together to form the sword template like this.

Place the template on foam board and trace it. Do this twice. We need two sword blades.

Cut those two blade pieces out of the foam board and glue them together one right on top of the other.
