Make a Paper Leon Cathedral

I walked a pilgrimage across the whole country of Spain. It was a 500 mile trek. I saw and experienced many amazing things. One of which was the Cathedral in Leon.

I just had to make a paper version of it!

Here is a picture I took of the front of the cathedral. The free download packet is under the picture.... and I have a few more pictures of this amazing cathedral for you to enjoy.

Here it is; the download packet so you can make Leon Cathedral yourself. This is a pdf document that includes everything - the parts you print up and the step by step instructions on how to do it. This project used to be for sale but now it is totally free - no strings attached. How often do you see that on the web? Anyway, optionally, if you make this cathedral you can send me a picture of it! I will put the picture on my website and email you a certificate of contribution.

The packet contains full instructions on how to put together the cathedral. And it also includes the parts to make two different cathedrals - one is colored and one is blank white. The blank white is so that you can color it any way you want. You can build either one, or both!

This aerial view shows you how amazing this Gothic cathedral is. Our paper project makes this cathedral but only the man structure, not the rectangular courtyard in the foreground.

Materials and Tools:

You don't need much for tools and materials. Just some scissors, a ruler and glue. That is enough. But I do recommend you go with paper that is a bit thicker than normal printer paper. I recommend you use something called card stock. That's a fancy name for thicker paper. And it is readily available everywhere. You can buy a pack of it at Walmart. It is right along side the printer paper. And it goes right in your normal desktop printer. It is also available on amazon here:

Wausau Exact 110, Index Cardstock, 250 Count, Ivory, 8.5 X 11 Inches

The "110" tells you how thick it is. You can go a little bit thinner if you like. "90" works just as well.

Everything you need is in the packet. Cut out the parts.

And glue them together, step by step

I also have pictures inside the cathedral right here.
