Here is an Iron Sword made by John. It came out spectacular He used our template to make a broken one. And he created his own technique for making the texture on this sword. Here is how he does this:
I wanted to have more of a hammered look, so rather than using your method of acrylic and paint, I hardened the board with acrylic and applied aluminium plumbers tape. I then rubbed it down with steel wool and using the rounded bottom of my metal bodied cutting tool to create the uneven, hammered surface. I then applied black and brown acrylic washes, wiping down in between washes. I used lifeboat orange to create rust areas and followed up with more black and brown washes. Using the steel wool to bring out some more of the metal under the washes.

Here is a scroll made by Daniel. He also did something quite unique on the inside of it. He tells us: I had to do a project for my sociology class. It was about what makes our life important, we had to show our values, relations, interests, planned future, as well a motto/ quote that we say a lot. So I've wanted to create a scroll since I saw your video that first day you uploaded it, therefore I knew a scroll would be a good idea for this project.
