In this part of the tutorial I show you how to make the castle keep and I give you some ideas for what to put in it.

Make the tower taller than the walls of the castle. Mine is 14 inches tall which means I used the total length of the flaps removed from the box. And make it only three sides. You want the back side open so you can put toy knights and various other things inside. Add a floor or two and cut some windows. Then you can have some fun making various things to go inside it. A fireplace is a good idea.
Add some furniture too. A little cardboard table is good. You can add other pieces of furniture too like a throne, cupboards and some chairs.
Your imagination is your only limit when it comes to making things that can go inside the keep. A couple more ideas are that you can print up in small size various medieval and renaissance pictures then mount them on the walls. You can also print up various small rug designs and use them as carpets and rugs.
And don't forget to add a drawbridge to your castle. Measure it out and cut the sides and the top. But don't cut the bottom. That will act as a hinge to open and close the drawbridge. Add a little bit of string like this and you can open and close the drawbridge. Notice a bit more of detail work in this next picture. There are faux windows in the towers left and right. And for the cut out window on the tower I added a frame around it. You can also make a nice tower top to go on the keep.
