Go ahead and draw out those circles.

Now follow this same process to do a second one. But on this second one also trace and draw the ornamental work on the chakam.

Now cut those rings out and glue one right on top of the other. Don't do anything quite yet to the ornamental work. We will handle that next.

Now let's do the ornamental work. Use a sharp knife and cut along the ornamental lines. Cut through the top layer of paper and some of the foam. You are not cutting all the way through the chakram.

Now run a toothpick through those cuts to open them up.

Then run a blunted pencil through those cuts. This further opens it all up and darkens it.

Now if you have sand paper you can go ahead and sand the edges. This will smooth out your cuts and the imperfections between the glued together pieces.

Now paint it. The traditional paint scheme is gold on the inside part and silver on the outer part section of the ring.

Once the paint dries you can darken the cut lines with a sharpie or black marker. (Optional)

If you have some jewels you can glue them on like this.

And that's it! Your Chakram is done!
