I get a lot of email from people who want to forge but are limited in resources. It is a bit expensive to get started. You either have to buy a forge or you have to make one yourself. Both of these options can be challenging.

And, once you have a forge you have to worry about getting fuel for it. You can get coal or hardwood lump charcoal which I use. But wouldn't it be great to just use regular cordwood? Yup, there is a company that solves both these problems.

The Whitlox homestead makes a variety of forges that use regular wood for it's fuel. Its all in the design of the forge. And I think it's a great idea.
