The US postal service has issued lots of stamps. But only one of them is in commemoration of the mighty and wonderful blacksmith!

Here are the four stamps in the set. They were issued in 1977 to commemorate "Skilled Hands for Independence". They honor early americans with particular skills that were vital to the winning of our independence. The Blacksmith shod horses and constructed metal fittings for the cannons. Kind of cool!
