Moss can be a bit fickle. And if you have gathered up a bunch of it for your terrariums but have a lot left over you can put it in the freezer to preserve it for later use. Yup, It works like a charm.

I have some packets of moss in here that are three months old and they are still terrific.

And it works on just about all mosses.

Just be sure to label it! It is very easy to forget when it was put in the freezer or what type it is.

When you are ready to use some just pluck off the amount you need and...

Put it in another bag for an hour to let it thaw and warm up.

Moss Terrariums!

Moss terrariums are wonderful in their simplicity and beauty. And you can often make one without spending a penny. Just collect up the moss from the outdoors.
