The Grunwald Diorama

Here is a fantastic diorama made by Joseph. He is also the author of a book about Toy Castles. You can see more about the book at the bottom of the page.

This Diorama depicts the famous Battle of Grunwald fought in 1410 .

And all the banners are historically accurate. You can see them close up in the second picture.

Here is what Joseph has to say about it:

The Grunwald diorama was built using grass mat and sand plus lichen and home made terrain pieces. The terrain pieces are built on foam bases with latex paint, sand and scenic material. The figures are 54mm painted metal from the Czech Republic.

Battle of Grunwald Resin Hand Painted Chess Set Folk

The Battle of Grunwald (1st Battle of Tannenberg) - King Wladyslaw Jagiello's victory over the Teutonic Order in 1410. Substantial work and research had to be conducted in order to get all Coat-of-Arms, colors of uniforms, and other important battle details correct for each chess piece figure. Each fabric-bottomed piece is made of resin and then hand painted, stylized, and polished. The Birchwood board with pine box closes using brass hinges. This chess set is very detailed. So detailed in fact, that the pawns all differ from each other.
