You don't have to get fancy and complex with a diorama. You can keep it very simple and have it turn out great. I will give you some guidelines tips and hints on how to do it.

I make a space themed diorama with a telescope, planets, stars and more. But there are no limits in the theme you can use. I will show you.

Materials and tools:

We keep it very simple! You only need four things

• A small cardboard box
• A pair of scissors
• A Glue stick (or white glue)
• A magazine with lots of pictures

Cut the flaps off the box.

Then cut the sides of the box and the top like this. You are making it into a little theatre of sorts.

Now let's add the background images. Flip through your magazine looking for something nice. I found this great full size picture of the stars.

So I cut it out and used the glue stick to adhere it to the background.

You can do the back, the bottom surface and the sides. Whatever you like.

I did the back and the bottom.

Now let's have some fun cutting out various objects from the magazine. I started with this nice picture of Jupiter.
