Diorama's like this are very popular. People love an auto shop scene like this. That's probably for a few different reasons.
Let me point out to you some of the things I really like about this scene.

The vintage vehicles are pretty nice including the old Mercedes truck. Notice how Frank has aged it with paint to make it look like it has been on a Safari drive! You can see it well in the second picture.

And can you see the anvil in the lower right? How many repair shops use them any more? It's classic!

One other thing is the big observation window where the customer can stand there and watch his or her car being worked on. How come they don't do that anymore?
